Svanstedt to drive eight in Sweden

Ake Svanstedt is back in his native country, Sweden to celebrate Christmas and New Year, but will also get to show the Swedish trotting fans his skills in races, as he has picked up eight drives in races at the Axevalla track tomorrow, Monday (Dec. 31).

In three of the races, Svanstedt will compete with his two sons, Anders and Richard, who each run their own training stable.

Yesterday, Propulsion driven by Ôrjan Kihlström disappointed as the favorite in a V75-race at Romme.

Propulsion finished second to “iron horse” On Track Piraten driven by Hans R. Strömberg, but there was a cause for the poor effort from Propulsion, as the horse, Sunday morning ran a fever and had not eaten his feed for the first time ever stabled at Daniel Redén.

Redén now questions, if it will be possible to race Propulsion in the Prix d’Amerique.
