Swan Legacy glides to victory in Philly feature

Chester, PA — Indiana invader Swan Legacy impressed in his Harrah’s Philadelphia debut, using the cover of favorite Rosalie Swan as a springboard to a 1:55.4 victory in a co-featured $12,800 trot on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 12).

Tim Tetrick angled the Swan For All sophomore gelding out behind Rosalie Swan as that one advanced uncovered up the backstretch for the lead, then continued with his momentum and was the easiest of winners for trainer Scott DiDomenico and owners Triple D Stables Inc., Michael Ferriero and M G Stable Inc. The lightly-raced Baldaquin edged Rosalie Swan for second.

In the other division, the 3-year-old Muscle Hill filly Contepartiro Deo kept her record perfect for trainer Noel Daley in her second start. The Deo Volente Farms homebred persevered to the line after not being able to clear the pacesetter on the turn to notch a 1:57.3 tally for Todd McCarthy, a half length to the good of long shot President.

The $11,600 fast-class trot saw two horses parade back to the winner’s circle, as the camera could not separate Magic MVP and Rock Of Cashel at the end of a 1:55 mile. Todd McCarthy drove Magic MVP for trainer Traci Berry and the ownership of J. Craparotta & P. Berry Racing LLC, while Rock Of Cashel was driven by Vinny Ginsburg for trainer Mark Harder and the partnership of Joseph Jannuzzelli and Jeffrey Ruch.

Todd McCarthy led all drivers today with four victories.
