Swedish top trainer Daniel Redén has high hopes for a Father Patrick-colt

Though Francesco Zet had to trot three-wide the last round at Solvalla, he won the 1-5/8 mile event by open lengths in 1.57f (mile rate).

“I think this horse is one of the best I ever have trained. He could turn out to be in top 3,” Redén said after the race about the 3-year old Father Patrick colt.

Very big words from the trainer of Propulsion, Delicious, Don Fanucci Zet (winner of the Elitlopp this year), and several other top trotters.

The dam of Francesco Zet is Shaqline – she by Credit Winner and a full sister to Redéns first top trotter, Shaq is Back.

In the Kriterium, the purse for the winner was $460,000, but on top of that, add a breeder’s prize of $140,000 dollars, as Stall Zet is both owner and breeder.

The filly division, which carried a purse for the winner of $325,000 dollars, was won by Finnish-owned Lara Boko with Mika Forss in the bike. Lara Boko is sired by Djali Boko, a son of Ready Cash out of a mare sired by Muscle Hill.

The filly division was raced over 1-5/16 miles and Lara Boko, who was parked outside the leader the whole, won in 1.56f.
