Sweet Lou’s book is full and closed

Wellsville, PA — Diamond Creek Farm is pleased to announce that champion pacer Sweet Lou is fully booked and closed in 2019.

Sweet Lou has served a full book of mares for the past four years and looks to continue that tradition into the future with another high quality group of mares in 2019. His 2-year-olds excelled on the track, including Breeders Crown champion and world record holder Warrawee Ubeaut and Matron Stakes winner Blood Money.

In Harrisburg this past week, his yearlings sold for an average of more than $66,000, with a profit of more than eight times his stud fee in 2017. He remains the No. 1 sire of 2-year-olds by average earnings.

“We are grateful to all the breeders who have continued to support Sweet Lou,” says Diamond Creek’s Adam Bowden. “They are now being rewarded for their early support by the return on investment they have seen through the yearling sales and on the racetrack.”

In 2019, Sweet Lou‘s stud fee has been bumped to $12,500 as an effect of the success he has found in the sales ring and on the track.
