Two-time Dan Patch Award winner and 2001 Trotter of the Year Syrinx Hanover delivered her second foal on Friday (April 15) at Concorde Stud Farm in Cream Ridge, New Jersey.

The bay filly was sired by Angus Hall.

Syrinx Hanover’s first foal, named Syrinx Song, is a bay filly by Conway Hall and is a yearling this year.

Syrinx Hanover was the top two-year-old trotting filly in the sport in 2000 when she won seven of her nine starts and banked $680,797. She was victorious that year in the $755,911 Breeders Crown Final at Mohawk and the $401,200 Goldsmith Maid Final at Garden State Park.

As a three-year-old in 2001, Syrinx Hanover was unbeaten in 12 starts and earned an additional $1,018,629. Among her victories that year were the $624,840 Breeders Crown Final, the $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks Final, the $400,500 Delvin Miller Memorial Final, the $203,850 Matron Final, and the $147,000 Bluegrass (in a lifetime mark of 1:532). In addition to earning her second straight divisional title, she defeated Varenne 87-44 in the balloting for Trotter of the Year.

Now seven-years-old, Syrinx Hanover is a daughter of Lindy Lane out of the Super Bowl mare Minx Hanover. She is owned by Cynthia Fazio of Colts Neck, New Jersey. She will be bred back to 2004 Trotter of the Year Windsong’s Legacy.
