Monticello, NY — One of Billy “Zeke” Parker’s six wins on the Thursday, May 26, program at Monticello Raceway was with Cynthia Lynn Massari’s 3-year-old Artiscape gelding Takemewithyou.

Parker guided the pacer to a 1:58.2, wire–to-wire triumph over Texas Treasure and driver Billy Dobson, much to the pleasure of owner Cynthia and her husband, Peter, who went to the winner’s circle for a photo after their colt’s victory.

But the lightly raced Takemewithyou had other ideas when he reached the place where the photo was to be snapped. Parker quickly sensed what the pacer had in mind and alertly stepped off the sulky while Takemewithyou decided to put on a show.

Unflappable, Parker turned to the Massaris and the photographer, Geri Schwarz, and said with a smile, “He’s doing his Trigger impersonation.”

The pacer returned to all fours, stood for a picture, and Parker jumped back on the bike and the two went back to the paddock.
