Hanover, PA — Hanover Shoe Farms has announced that the 2022 book for Tall Dark Stranger is full and closed.

Tall Dark Stranger is the only pacer in history to win both the Metro Pace and Breeders Crown at 2, and the Meadowlands Pace and Pepsi North America Cup at 3. The 2020 Dan Patch Horse of the Year, Tall Dark Stranger retired with a record of 1:47.1 and over $2 million in earnings.

Tall Dark Stranger was bred to a full book of mares in his initial year at stud. Nineteen mares bred to Tall Dark Stranger in his first book earned over $1 million in their careers, and are a veritable “who’s who” of the greatest pacing mares to grace the racetrack in recent years:
