Tami Sue Smith, 58, dies

Columbus, OH — Tami Sue Smith, 58, of Washington Court House, Ohio, the mother of Ohio harness driver Jeremy Smith, died April 25, 2017.

She was born on July 28, 1958, in Fayette County to the late William and Barbara Stookey Redman. She was a 1976 graduate of Miami Trace High School and also attended Southern State Community College. She was most recently employed by Tigerpoly Manufacturing in Grove City.

She enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was extremely proud of her son, Jeremy, and his accomplishments in our sport, and she was also a beloved grandmother, wife, sister, and aunt. She loved harness racing and enjoyed horses immensely.

Survivors include her husband, Sheridan, whom she married on July 28, 1978; children, Jeremy (Brandy) and Ashley; grandchildren, Parker and Madison West; brothers, Tony Redman and Jack Redman; niece, Brandi Dalton; and her loving canine companion, Jadi.

The funeral service will be held on Friday (April 28) at 1:30 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
