Tattoo search revamped and renamed

Columbus, OH — With the advent of tattoos now being obsolete in Standardbreds, the USTA has made some changes to the free tattoo search that so many horsemen are used to utilizing.

First — the name. Now called “Horse Search” the page is still accessible from the tan navigation bar from all USTA web pages. As before, this search remains FREE for all to use.

Second — the search fields. With many of our horses now being exclusively microchipped, or chipped in addition to having a freeze brand, users can search by the last six digits of the microchip number or continue to use the registration number (freeze brand) search.

Third — the layout. The reCAPTCHA is split off onto the right side of the screen. You can now type in the characters and hit enter to submit your query. Don’t want to type in the reCAPTCHA for each horse search you do? That’s easy! Just log in to your USTA MyAccount (available free to both USTA members and non-members) and then do a search.

If you have any questions about using the updated Horse Search, contact Member Services at 877.800.8782 or memberservices@ustrotting.com.
