Team Snyder’s Aetos Kronos impressive winner at Solvalla

Aetos Kronos, partly owned by Team Snyder (Jeff and Michael Snyder), trained by Jerry Riordan and with Magnus A. Djuse in the bike, was a very impressive winner of Jubileumspokalen (The Jubilee Prize) at Solvalla Wednesday night (Aug. 18). It’s a race for 5-year-old trotters with a purse for the winner of $170,000.

Normally Aetos Kronos is a slow starter, but today he was able to take the lead after the first 400 meters and stayed there. Don Fanucci Zet with Ôrjan Kihlström, the race favorite and this year’s winner of the Elitlopp, tried to catch Aetos Kronos, but was on a mission impossible.

Aetos Kronos won the 1-5/16th mile event easily in 1:52.2f (mile rate), equaling the world record held by Readly Express, who won the race in 2017.

“A great victory today; the owners came over from the United States yesterday and are here at Solvalla tonight. Marvelous,” Jerry Riordan said after the race.

Aetos Kronos is sired by Bold Eagle and out of a mare by Muscles Yankee.
