Temple of Doom was a winner in his 4-year-old debut in Thursday’s feature trot at the Meadowlands.

Temple of Doom seized the lead after the first quarter and trotted home to victory in 1:57.1 in the fourth race, featuring 3-and 4-year-olds.

David Miller drove one of last year’s top sophomore trotters to his 15th win in 29 starts. The son of Yankee Glide-Armbro Temple is owned by Robert Rosenheim Stables of Sharon, CT and is now in the hands of trainer Larry Remen. He finished 2-1/2 lengths ahead of runner-up Kristal Dream and paid $3.80 to win.

Also lining up for the $15,000 purse was Thatsnotmyname, who made her 3-year-old debut in preparation for a summer stakes campaign. The 2010 Merrie Annabelle and New Jersey Sire Stakes Champion finished third by a nose.
