Ten Ohio Sires Stakes for 2-year-old fillies Tuesday at Scioto

Columbus, OH — Ten $40,000 Ohio Sires Stakes divisions for 2-year-old Buckeye-bred fillies will be contested on Tuesday (July 19) at Scioto Downs, with a matinee post time of 2 p.m. (EDT).

There are 39 trotting fillies in four OSS divisions and 56 pacing fillies in six OSS divisions which will go postward over the five-eighths-mile oval.

Type A Grey won leg one of the Ohio Sires Stakes at Northfield Park on July 3 in 1:57.2.

First leg pacing winners from July 3 at Northfield Park include Gorgeous Hallie (1:57.3), Loreena’s Ruffian (1:56.1), Bye Bye Felicia (1:56.1), Big Bad Baby (1:58.4), Rosemary Rose (1:56.4), Zoe Ellasen (1:55.2), Strike A Chord (1:56.3) and Type A Grey (1:57.2).

First leg trotting winners — from that same date and track — were Chim Swift (1:57.4), Maderia AS (1:59), Emerald City Of Oz (2:01.2), Bamaslastchance (2:01.2), Purple Sona (2:00.4) and Amuse’s (2:01.1).

Ohio trotting stallions represented in these Ohio Sires Stakes contests include Dejarmbro (15), Triumphant Caviar (7), Break The Bank K (4), Chip Chip Hooray and Neely Dunn (3 each), And Away We Go (2), and Full Count, Big Rigs, Iron Duke, His Highness and Homestretch (1 each).

Ohio stallions represented in the six Ohio Sires Stakes pacing events include Big Bad John (12), McArdle (9), Art Official (8), Charley Barley (6), Santana Blue Chip, Feelin Friskie, The Panderosa and Manhardt (3 each), Woodstock, Art’s Chip and Foreclosure (2 each), and I’m Gorgeous, World Of Rocknroll and Oaks Enforcer (1 each).
