Washington, PA — Tenthousand Angels brushed though the Lightning Lane to overtake the tiring leader and capture Wednesday’s (Feb. 15) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Lydeo, the 6-5 favorite, though hard-used to make the front, clicked off three quarters in a swift 1:23.4. That left her vulnerable to the ground-saving Tenthousand Angels, who charged inside for Jack Killeen. The fourth quarter went a slowish :30.2, but it was good enough to give Tenthousand Angels a half-length victory over Starzznstripes in 1:54.1. Lady Sconset rallied for show.

Nick Kozar trains the winner, a 6-year-old daughter of Captaintreacherous-Angel Scent who improved her career bankroll to $172,030, for Rockstar Meadows.

Aaron Merriman and Dave Palone each piloted three winners on the 13-race card.
