Tequila Talkin repeats at The Meadows with Lightning Lane charge

Washington, PA — Tequila Talkin stalked his stablemate Whiskey Blu from the pocket, then shot the Lightning Lane to capture Thursday’s (June 9) feature — and his second straight win — at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,800 conditioned trot.

Whiskey Blu took the lead from Tequila Talkin at the quarter, but the 7-year-old Cantab Hall-Margarita Nights gelding enjoyed the cover. He zipped by late for Dave Palone to score in 1:54.3, a tick off his lifetime mark. Aunt Bee rallied for second, 1-3/4 lengths back, while Whiskey Blu saved show.
