Tetrick wins six at Dover

Dover, DE — Tim Tetrick finished his day with six wins at Dover Downs.

In the week’s top trot, Tetrick had to use Tough Mac hard leaving from the outside before getting the lead at the quarter then led the way to a 1:54.1 victory in the $20,000 Open Handicap trot at Dover Downs, Wednesday Jan. 20.

Tim Tetrick won six races on a cold Wednesday program at Dover Downs.

Man Of Muscles, piloted by Pat Berry, came out of the pack on the final turn and overtook front-trotting favorite Lou Man (Tim Tetrick) nearing the finish line for a 1:56 triumph in a $12,000 sub-feature.


Trainer Dylan Davis picked up his second win on the card when Mike Casalino’s Tough Mac returned to winning form in his second start of 2016. Tough Mac is an altered son of Lockkeeper-Traditional Lady who won for the 22nd time banking $272,449 lifetime. War Cry Hall (Ross Wolfenden) challenged strongly on the backstretch and held on for second. Panamanian Hanover (Tony Morgan) got up for third.


In the $15,000 4&5-Year-Old sub-feature trot, Machuca, with Allan Davis driving the Yankee Glide-Tail Of Night gelding, shot down the passing lane to score a 1:56.3 win for owner-trainer Bob Shahan. Royal Becca J (Jack Parker) left from the outside to get the early lead and held on to finish second. Adrenalin Junkie (Jim Morand) rallied from far back for third.


Dedi’s Dragon, Simon’s Artist and Allstar Preview meet in a eight horse field in Thursday’s feature race.


Weekday racing – Monday through Thursday, begins at p.m. 4:30 p.m. Dover Downs is dark on Friday and Saturday. Live racing resumes Sunday, post time is 5:30 p.m.
