Yonkers, NY — They’re here. With Yonkers Raceway’s million-dollar International Trot just nine days away, the seven European entrants (plus the returning Creatine) have landed.

Papagayo E and caretaker Ragnhild Diesen arrived today at JFK Airport.

Bright and early Thursday morning (Oct. 1), the octet touched down at JFK Airport, complete with pomp, circumstance and Yonkers Raceway’s crack photographers there to capture the moment.

The arrivals (alphabetically) with “home” countries, were: BBS Sugarlight (Norway), Creatine (United States), Mosaique Face (Sweden), Oasis Bi (Italy), On Track Piraten (Sweden), Papagayo E (Norway), Rod Stewart (Italy) and Timoko (France).

The gang was then whisked away to Newburgh, N.Y., for two days of quarantine.

Yonkers Raceway greatly appreciates the cooperation of U.S. Customs and Border Protection New York Field Office for their assistance.

Again, please note the International is part of a Saturday (Oct. 10) matinee card, with first post at 2 p.m. and the race itself going at approximately 3:10 p.m. The race is to be drawn Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 6), with more International Trot-related promotions and giveaways to be announced in the coming days.
