The French Ballerina is ready to dance again

The French trotting ballerina, Belina Joselyn with trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire, is favored to win the prestigious Grand Prix de Paris Sunday afternoon (Feb. 24) at Vincennes.

The Prix de Paris is the third race in the French Triple Crown series, which started with the Prix d’Amerique and went on with the Prix de France.

The Prix de Paris is raced over 4,150 meters, or nearly two miles, and if Belina Josselyn wins she will be only the seventh trotter ever to win the Prix d’Amerique and the Prix de Paris in the same year. Bold Eagle was the last one to win the Prix d’Amerique and Prix de Paris in the same year (it was in 2017) and he even won the Prix de France that year.

Only 12 trotters are entered in the Prix de Paris, which carries a total purse of 350,000 Euro; the share to the winner is 157,500 Euro.
