The Great Emotion springs 15-1 upset in Meadows feature

Washington, PA — The Great Emotion wore down 1-9 favorite Hot Flash Kimmy with a sustained first-over move and pulled off a 15-1 upset in Thursday’s (Jan. 11) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,500 conditioned trot.

Hot Flash Kimmy was on the lead seeking her fourth straight, but The Great Emotion and Aaron Merriman, away fourth, took the aggressive route down the backside. The 4-year-old Lookslikeachpndale-Apogee gelding overtook Hot Flash Kimmy in deep stretch and downed her by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:55.2 over a “good” surface. Easy Rider finished third.
