The Grey Ghosts come to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Live harness racing at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be strangely eerie on Halloween night as the harness track in Northeast Pennsylvania hosts a special “Grey Ghost and Poltergeist Pace” for grey or roan horses.

Rick Kane, Pocono’s Director of Racing, will be accepting entries for the race, slated for the Wednesday (Oct. 31) night card. The racing office number is 570.831.2228.

The track is planning a Halloween celebration like no other with an especially scary and spookily decorated winner’s circle to set the mood for the race.

According to the U.S. Trotting Association, the governing body of harness racing, less than five percent of all harness horses are grey in color. The most famous was the former world champion trotter and Hambletonian winner, Greyhound.
