The party is on in Stockholm

Three days of first class trotting races and a select sale with 100 of the best Swedish-bred yearlings. That’s the menu in Stockholm, Sweden, this weekend.

On Friday at 12 noon (local time) the races began and among the winners were a 3-year-old filly who has the fastest pedigree in the world. Her name is D’One and she is sired by Donato Hanover and out of Giant Diablo. Both sire and dam have a mark of 1.50.1. D’One took her third victory in a row and was timed in 2:00.2 (mile rate).

The select sale, which is held Friday night (local time) or 1 p.m. (EDT) will be streamed over the internet. The link can be found at the webpage www.asvt.se; you have to download a special player to be able to watch the sale. The catalogue is ready for download.

On Saturday afternoon the Sweden Cup is the highlight race with two eliminations and a final in the same way as the Elitlopp, which is the main event Sunday.

You can download the complete race card for Saturday at this link and for Sunday at this link.
