The Triple Lindy records 1:53 win in open trot at Dover

Dover, DE — The Triple Lindy, second last week, turned it on in the stretch to score a 1:53 victory in the $18,000 Open trot on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Dover Downs.

Last Wednesday, trainer-driver Vic Kirby couldn’t get clear early enough before closing fast. There was no road trouble this time as the Credit Winning-Measure Up gelding got there first in a lifetime best 1:53 clocking. C&G Racing own the winner of six races this season and $132,480 in purse money. He has earned $267,951 in his career. Race favorite Tirade Hanover (Corey Callahan), finished second while Martz Time (Andy Miller), who was riding a two-straight win streak, was third.

Callahan and Morgan drove three winners apiece. George Dennis and Jim Morand had doubles.

The annual Dover Downs Christmas Break Week beings this Friday, Dec. 19. There is no live racing until Sunday, Dec. 28.
