Theresa Bantle, 44, dies

Columbus, OH — Theresa A. Bantle, 44, of Vernon, N.Y., died Feb. 26, 2012, at the Abraham House of Utica after a battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 9, 1967, in Boston, Mass., a daughter of Paul and Donna (Weeks) Bantle.

As a teenager, she found a great passion for horses and began riding show horses and later went on to exercising Thoroughbred horses before becoming an owner and trainer of Standardbreds. She operated a public stable at Vernon Downs.

She is survived by her life partner, Eric Felter; son, Howard; parents. Paul and Donna; sister, Mary Sharp; nephew, Chaz; niece, Shannon Sharp; and aunt and uncle, Maryann and Bob Beverly.

There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
