Three Tuesday wins for Plante at Rosecroft

Fort Washington, MD – Driver Roger Plante won three times on the Tuesday night (Dec. 13) card at Rosecroft, securing the $15,500 Open for mares with Arts And Flowers in 1:54.

Plante got away seventh in the nine-horse field and gradually wore down the pacesetter, Truth And Liberty, while holding off Grace Rocks and Beyond Words N who followed the winner in the outer flow. Phyllis Copeland trains Arts And Flowers for Plante, who won for the seventh time this year and the 37th time in her career.

Creekside Pete and Frank Milby took the top honors in the $13,000 feature for trotters, securing a pocket journey behind eventual second-place finisher Judge Bob. Creekside Pete stopped the timer in 1:54.1 for owner David Jarvis and trainer Stacey Mclenaghan. It was his ninth win of the year, and he has now been in the top three in a remarkable 51 of 75 lifetime starts. It was one of two wins on the night for Milby.

Jared Moyer won twice on the Tuesday card and Frank Tsipouras won both divisions of the Rosecroft Amateur Drivers Club. Rosecroft’s Jackpot Hi-5 Carryover now sits at $26,906.60 for Thursday night (Dec. 15).
