Thunder Ridge readies for 2017 season

Prestonsburg, KY — Thunder Ridge Raceway, located in the foothills of Eastern Kentucky in Prestonsburg, is preparing for its 2017 season. Opening day will be Wednesday (April 12).

Thunder Ridge will race Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with post time at 6 p.m. each night for seven weeks through May 26.

There is a two day entry box closing at 10 a.m. on Monday for Wednesday, Tuesday for Thursday and Wednesday for Friday. The direct phone number is 606.886.1977 and the race office will open at 9 a.m. on entry days.

Condition sheets for the first week of racing will be available on Saturday on the USTA website and online entering is available and encouraged.

Please be sure that coggins tests are up to date and current electronic eligibilities are required before entering.

First qualifiers will be held Friday evening (April 7) with post time also at 6 p.m. The entry box will close at 10 a.m. on the Thursday before. The next qualifiers will be Monday evening (April 10) with post time also at 6 p.m. The entry box for Monday’s qualifiers will close at 10 a.m. on Monday.
