Thunder rolls in Dayton feature

Dayton, OH — The skies may have been clear above Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway on Tuesday (Oct. 25), but Thunder rolled on the track, taking the $24,000 Open Handicap Trot.

With driver Brett Miller at the lines, Thunder’s Open score came in gate-to-wire fashion. The 6-year-old gelded son of Conway Hall found himself in total control of the field, posting fractions of :27.2, :56.1 and 1:24.3 before cruising across the finish in 1:54. Co-favorite Wildfire Seelster (driven by Tyler Smith) finished second; Talk About Valor (Travis Seekman) was third.
