Time To Kill prevails in NJ Futurity Trot

Manalapan, NJ — Time To Kill rolled to a 1-3/4 length victory in the $30,000 New Jersey Futurity for 2-year-old trotters on Friday (Oct. 12) at Freehold Raceway.

The Futurity is restricted to New Jersey-sired horses and is sponsored by the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey.

Time To Kill and John Campbell added the New Jersey Futurity to her list of stakes wins on Friday

Time To Kill covered the mile in 2:03.1 with John Campbell in the sulky. The daughter of Muscles Yankee-Are Your Ready picked up her third win along with four seconds from nine starts. The Ross Croghan trainee also won the Marion Dancer at Freehold and a division of the Bluegrass at The Red Mile.

Partys On (Chocolatier) was second and it was 2-1/2 lengths to Connie Keeper (Muscles Yankee) in third. Harold Dancer winner King Muscles (Muscles Yankee) broke stride at the start and finished fourth and last in the non-wagering race.

Time To Kill added $16,500 to her bankroll for a total of $150,000. She races for Let It Ride Stables, Robert Cooper Stables and J&T Silva Stables.

Friday’s card at Freehold also included a $7,000 second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes-Green Acres for 3-year-old trotting colts, carded as the seventh.

Melady’s Monet by Revenue won in 1:59.2 with Cat Manzi driving for trainer Taylor Gower. The gelding is owned by Luca Balenzano. The Ray Schnittker entry of Muscolo (Muscles Yankee) and Kingapore (Revenue) finished second and third, respectively.
