Princess Griff won the Gran Premio delle Nazioni.

Timoko raced in the Gran Premio delle Nazioni and going into this prestigious race at the La Maura track I Milan, he was 45,762 Euro short of Ready Cash.

Timoko, driven by Born Goop, was favored to win and going into the stretch he looked like the winner, even though he had been parked outside leader Ringostarr Treb, driven by Roberto Vecchione.

Timoko had the better of Ringostarr Treb, but on the outside Princess Griff, driven by Roberto Andreghetti, came flying followed by her stablemate Timone Ek, driven by Jos. Verbeeck, and Timoko had to settle for third.

Had Timoko won or been second, he would have passed Ready Cash. Now he still lacks 12,163 Euros in coming the richest French trotter ever.

Princess Griff, a 7-year-old mare sired by Varenne, won the Gran Premio delle Nazioni in 1:59.4f with a purse for the winner of 128,800 Euros.

Princess Griff and Timone EK are trained by the French trainer Fabrice Souloy, who is in the center of an investigation concerning four positive tests in Sweden and Norway in the Elitlopp and the Oslo Grand Prix.
