Pompano Beach, FL — Tintabella N, the current queen of the Pompano Park female pacing division, will seek her fourth consecutive trip to the winner’s circle when starting in the featured $15,500 Fillies and Mares Open I Pace from the South Florida oval on Friday, May 18.

Owned by Glenn Del Russo and Daryl Bier, Tintabella N enters the Friday feature in career best form, having prevailed in five of her last six starts, including a current three-race winning streak.

In her most recent appearance, the New Zealand-bred daughter of Tinted triumphed in front-end fashion, covering the mile in 1:53.3 to score by a length when capturing last weekend’s filly and mare pacing feature.

Trained by Gus Scarpias and driven by co-owner Bier, Tintabella N will start from post four in the Friday feature and has been installed as the 7-5 morning ine favorite.

My Metallica, who chased home Tintabella N in each of her last two outings, will take another shot at dethroning the current divisional leader when starting from post one in Friday’s pace.

A winner in late April when scoring an upset victory at odds of 16-1, My Metallica has since returned with consecutive second place performances, beaten a head two starts ago before coming up a length shy of victory in her most recent outing.

Listed as the second choice in the morning line at odds of 2-1, My Metallica will be handled from the inside post by Wally Hennessey for trainer Tom Harmer.

Knockout Stable’s Wilma Hall, who holds the Pompano Park track record for a female pacer with a victory in 1:51.3 last November, starts from post two in the Friday feature for trainer Jim McDonald and driver Bruce Ranger.

Prior to crossing the wire fourth in last week’s feature where she never truly threatened, the daughter of Blissfull Hall put together consecutive third place efforts where she was beaten less than a length.

Rounding out the field for Friday’s $15,500 Fillies and Mares Open I Pace is Montana Moonlite A, a winner in 1:53.2 on April 20, and Icu Miss, who paced a lifetime best mile of 1:52.2 when prevailing at Pompano on May 4.
