Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs will be closing its simulcast operations on Tuesdays beginning on January 5. The simulcast facility will be open on Tuesdays when NYRA is racing, or when there is a holiday.

The decision was made by management after handle numbers for Tuesdays were low with the lack of racing product available for simulcast customers to wager on.

“With the struggling economy and lack of racing product available for our patrons on Tuesdays, it was in the best interest of our business plan to make this adjustment. As we head into spring when more racing product is available we will be back open on Tuesdays,” said Jason Settlemoir, VP of Racing and Simulcast.

Tioga Downs will continue to simulcast Monday, and Wednesday through Sunday, and the Tioga Downs gaming floor will continue to be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 2 a.m.
