Nichols, NY — As the coronavirus pandemic continues to adversely affect the lives of community members, Tioga Downs & Vernon Downs have been active in their respective districts by putting food on the table for local families in need. 

Over the past few weeks Tioga & Vernon employees have delivered and helped to serve over 1,500 free meals to families in need at the following locations: 

Oliver’s Pub & Grill, 1548 Golden Mile Road, Towanda, PA.

Owego Kitchen, 13 Lake St., Owego, NY.

The Kettle, 7756 Route 5, Seneca Turnpike, Clinton, NY.

Coming up on June 22 & 23 another 500 chicken dinners will be served compliments of Tioga Downs at Curly’s Chicken House, 2100 Lake Rd. in Elmira, NY. and the Vernon Downs contingent will be offering up a big Chicken BBQ at the Vernon Center and Volunteer Fire Department on June 27. 

This service to the community has been a priority for both casinos throughout their existence and will continue to be, so long as there is a need for help.
