Nichols, NY — Tioga Downs would like to inform all horsemen of a change in qualifying days for this week only.

Tioga Downs will move qualifiers to Saturday morning, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. due to the Joan Jett concert on Friday.

Please have your entries for qualifiers into the race office by 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning. The Tioga race office can be reached by calling 607.699.7688.

Special matinee card slated for Wednesday

Tioga Downs has carded a ten race card for a special Wednesday matinee program on June 10 with a post time of 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays are also senior days at Tioga Downs and seniors will receive a free race program for the matinee event.

Jimmy Marohn, Jr. may be looking for a milestone victory on Wednesday afternoon as entering Tuesday he needs just three wins to notch 1,000 career victories. He closed in fast on the milestone with nine victories at Tioga Downs this past weekend to soar his total to 997.
