Delaware, OH — Here are the Top 10 contenders for the 65th Little Brown Jug, as ranked by Assistant Publicity Director Jay Wolf.

Week #1 – August 18, 2010

1. One More Laugh

Lifetime Earnings: $1,393,920 Lifetime Mark: 1:47.4
He won the $1 million Meadowlands Pace on July 17 in a lifetime best 1:47.4. Took a few weeks off and recently won a leg of the PaSS in 1:51.1 on a sloppy track.

2. Rock N Roll Heaven

Trainer: Bruce Saunders Driver: Daniel Dube
Lifetime Earnings: $1,273,601 Lifetime Mark: 1:47.3
The son of Rocknroll Hanover was edged at the wire of the Oliver Wendell Holmes by Rockin Image on August 7. Has six wins in 11 seasonal starts.

3. Rockin Image
Owner: Lothlorien (Ont)
Trainer: Jimmy Takter Driver: Yannick Gingras
Lifetime Earnings: $501,793 Lifetime Mark: 1:48.2
He used a :26.4 last quarter to score a mild upset over Rock N Roll Heaven in the Oliver Wendell Holmes on August 7. Lothlorien’s Sue Grange is looking for her second straight LBJ win.

4. Delmarvalous
Owners: Badlands Racing (PA), George Teague, Jr. (DE), Elmer Fannin (DE) and Howard Dorfman (VA)
Trainer: George Teague, Jr. Driver: Brian Sears
Lifetime Earnings: $418,070 Lifetime Mark: 1:48.2
The son of Badlands Hanover has scored two straight wins, including the $500,000 Adios Pace Final on July 31. This colt could end the LBJ drought for Sears and Teague.

5. Aracache Hanover
Owners: William Switala (NY) and James Martin (NY)
Trainer: Gregg McNair Driver: Doug McNair
Lifetime Earnings: $524,235 Lifetime Mark: 1:50.1f
This sophomore has won seven events in a row including the two-heat Confederation Cup at Flamboro Downs last weekend.

6. We Will See
Owners: Shannon DePinto (NJ) and Earl Smith (NJ)
Trainer: Sam DePinto Driver: Brett Miller
Lifetime Earnings: $646,359 Lifetime Mark: 1:49
Last weekend, this colt overcame post eight and the rainy conditions to score in a leg of the PaSS in 1:51.4 at Harrah’s Chester.

7. BG’s Folly
Owners: Martin Goldman (NJ), Chas Aaron (NJ), Virginia Berkner (NJ) and William Salmeri (NY)
Trainer: George Berkner Drivers: Daniel Dube and Brian Sears
Lifetime Earnings: $528,345 Lifetime Mark: 1:49.1
This colt has won five of his last seven starts. He was second in the Confederation Cup Final last weekend.

He was the Breeders Crown champions at two and has struggled in 2010. The owners are hoping a trainer change will do the trick.

The son of No Pan Intended has been a solid performer on the Pennsylvania circuit. This may be Bob Glazer’s best chance for a second Little Brown Jug.
