Top spots remain unchanged in Poll

Freehold, NJ — Three newcomers joined the rankings in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll while fillies Check Me Out and American Jewel remained unchanged in the top two spots.
Hambletonian elimination winner Uncle Peter, Adioo Volo stakes-record-setter Major Look, and Hambletonian Oaks elim winner Maven all climbed into the rankings. Uncle Peter is No. 7, followed by Major Look at eight and Maven at nine.
Check Me Out, who received 33 of 35 first-place votes in retaining her hold on No. 1, and Maven headline Saturday’s $714,050 Hambletonian Oaks at the Meadowlands Racetrack. The fillies have split two earlier meetings this season.
Uncle Peter and Archangel, who is No. 10 in the poll, are among the 3-year-old male trotters in Saturday’s $1.5 million Hambletonian at the Big M.
