The clocking broke the 1:56.3 former record set by Patio Pete (Walter Case Jr.) in 2001.

Martin Yoder owns Credit Fashion. Jeff Hochstetler is his trainer and Aaron Merriman was in the sulky for the winning drive.

Credit Fashion (Credit Winner-Whata Softie) started from post two. He led his competition through fractions of :28.1, :57, 1:25 and 1:53.3. There was never an anxious moment for the winner, who bested his competition by 11-1/4 lengths.

Credit Fashion now has two wins in three starts this year. Monday’s victory represents his sixth score in 14 career races and bolstered his bankroll to $304,137. He was the race favorite and returned $3.20 to win.
