Winter weather has forced some tracks to cancel their Friday (Jan. 3) live racing cards. Below are the notices that have been sent to the USTA Newsroom.

Monticello cancels racing on Friday

Monticello, NY — Monticello Raceway was forced to cancel racing on Friday (Jan. 3) because of the snow storm and the bitter cold.

Racing will resume on Monday (Jan. 6) with first post slated at 12:25 p.m.

Freehold cancels live racing on Friday

Freehold, NJ — Freehold Raceway has announced that live racing scheduled for Friday (Jan. 3) has been cancelled due to a forecast of heavy snow and bitter cold temperatures in the Freehold area.

Simulcasting will continue as scheduled.

Live racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday with first race post set for 12:30 p.m.
