Tracks cancel live racing on Friday

Columbus, OH — Several tracks have cancelled live racing on Friday, Dec. 19, due to winter weather.

The Meadowlands has cancelled their Friday program. Live racing resumes Saturday, Dec. 20, with a 7:00 p.m. post time.

Saratoga Gaming and Raceway has cancelled their live program, but the track will remain open for simulcasting. Live racing is scheduled to resume on Saturday, Dec. 20, with post time slated for 7:05 p.m.

Yonkers Raceway has cancelled both live and simulcast racing for Friday evening, due to the snowstorm which is blanketing the greater New York area. Live racing (and evening harness simulcasting) is scheduled to resume Saturday night with first post at 6:50 p.m.

Monticello Raceway announced on Thursday that their live Friday card, as well as daily and nightly simulcasting, has been cancelled. Racing will resume on Saturday, with first post slated at 12:40 p.m.

Due to the severe winter storm in the Toronto area, Friday’s race program at Woodbine Racetrack has been cancelled. Racing is slated to resume on Saturday night with a first post of 7:30 p.m.

Additionally, Tioga Downs and Vernon Downs have been closed for simulcast due to the weather conditions in the New York area. Regularly scheduled simulcast operations will continue on Saturday, December 20.
