Traders opens the Winter meeting in Paris

All around top trotter Traders, driven by Yoann Lebourgeois, became the first winner in the prestigious Winter meeting at Vincennes, which opened Wednesday (Oct. 31).

Traders, who is trained by Philippe Allaire, was an easy winner of the Group 3 race Prix de Cevennes, which had a purse for the winner of $55,000. The distance was 1-3/4 miles and Traders was timed in 1:56.4 (mile rate).

Traders was followed by Carat Williams driven by David Thomain and Cash Gamble driven by Franck Nivard.

The Winter meeting runs until March 2 and consists of 90 days and 750 races. The total purses are $50.4 million with an average purse per race of $59,000.
