Tri-features headline Friday at Harrah’s Philadelphia

Chester, PA — A trio of $12,600 conditioned events were the top contests offered on the Friday afternoon (June 10) card at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

In the race for trotters, Sarah Svanstedt remained undefeated in three 2022 driving starts by guiding the Muscle Hill sophomore colt Edenonthehill to victory in 1:58. Edenonthehill left sharply to take command, rated early fractions of :29.3 and 1:00.3, passed the three-quarters in 1:29.4 under pressure, and then disposed of that pressure with a :28.1 final quarter. The promising 3-year-old is trained by Sarah’s husband, Åke, and is owned by Åke Svanstedt Inc. and S R F Stable.

Fulsome got his first victory in nearly 23 months when he paced a 1:52.4 mile in the headliner for pacing males. Troy Beyer hustled the 4-year-old Betting Line gelding into the pocket behind Make My Deo, who laid down fractions of :27.2, :56.4 and 1:24. Beyer had Fulsome out and moving on the far turn, went past the leader, then withstood an inside move by Its Showtime by three-quarters of a length for trainer Joseph Eisenhower Sr. and owner Spencer Goldin.

In the distaff pacing division, Sake Bomb put her head down early and would not let anybody go by her, taking a new mark of 1:53.3. Driver Andy Miller and the sophomore daughter of Betting Line seated all early opposition by the :27.2 quarter, then rated the half to :57.2. before turning away first-over pressure by the 1:24.4 three-quarters and pacing home home comfortably for trainer Ed Gannon Jr. and the ownership of Zippett Racing Stable, Joseph DiScala Jr. and Evan Katz.

The racing week ends on Sunday (June 12) with a tough field of eight set to contest a $16,200 featured pace. Harrah’s Philly is currently racing on a four-day-a-week schedule, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday cards at 12:25 p.m. and Sunday’s program commencing at 12:40 p.m. Program pages are or will be available on the PHHA website.
