Tricky Nick captured Wednesday’s $18,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows in 1:55.

After laboring on the outside to get the leadbefore the quarter, Tricky Nick faced an immediate challenge from the parked-outFashion Chocolate. He shrugged that one off but faced a more serious threat fromAngels Ransom, who was three-wide and gaining into the final turn. Under JimPantaleano’s urging, Tricky Nick held off Angels Ransom by a head in 1:55, withCantab Lindy third.
