Trifecta of New York Sire Stakes at Buffalo Raceway Friday

by Jon Cramer, for Buffalo Raceway

Hamburg, NY — Twenty-four 3-year-old colt pacers will take to the track at Buffalo Raceway on Friday (June 17) in New York Sire Stakes action. Broken out in three divisions by Race Secretary Robin Burns, the boys will be competing for $50,286 in each division.

The stakes action gets started in race four with Fantaddy installed as the morning line favorite starting from the fourth post position. He will be challenged by the entry combination for owner Ken Jacobs of Thomas J and Daughtry Hanover, drawing posts six and seven, respectively. Also drawing into the first division was Bombay Away for owner-driver Sam Caruso, Jr.

Roadside Delight, who cruised to a 6-3/4 length win at Monticello in NYSS action last week, highlights the second half of the mid-double (race five). Flipper J, who is part of trainer Linda Toscano’s entry, also took his division at Monticello last week.

Another pair of NYSS winners last week will compete in the final division that will go off as race seven of the 13-race card. The Western Terror colt Mojo Terror will look to keep his mojo going, while the American Ideal colt American Rage looks to earn a piece of America’s heart.
