Truth And Liberty reigns supreme at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Winning in any sport is hard. Winning in harness racing is even harder as you can be in peak form and still get beaten by a better horse.

Truth And Liberty, a 10-year-old mare by Total Truth, has seemingly found the fountain of youth. Wednesday night (April 13) at Rosecroft, Trae Porter put the veteran mare on the engine and she held off a late challenge from Thaneeya, to post the 64th win of her career. Jason Skinner trains the winner for Fairy Horsemother Stables.

Trainer Ken Schlotzhauer had three wins on the night while Brittany Bounds conditioned a pair of winners.

Drivers Russell Foster, Roger Plante, Wayne Long, and Ricky Still all won two races on the night.

Rosecroft will be dark Easter Sunday for live racing, but will race live Monday night with a post time of 7:15 p.m. Rosecroft will be open for simulcasting Sunday with a full menu, including the final card at Pompano Park which patrons will be allowed to wager on until the facility closes at Midnight.
