Twenty six enter Prix d’Amerique

When the entry box closed Monday morning (Jan. 25) at 9 a.m., 26 trotters were entered in the upcoming Prix d’Amerique, which will take place this Sunday (Jan. 31) at Vincennes, Paris, France.

Eleven of them are qualified to race, as they have earned their spot in qualifying races – that leaves seven spots free – they will be given to the trotters with most lifetime earnings.

In all French races, it is free to start, but if you enter and choose not to declare your horse to race, there is a fee of 1/1000 of the total purse in the race.

For the Prix d’Amerique, the entry procedure requires that horses are nominated by Monday morning at 9 a.m.  Scratch time, which has no fee is Wednesday (Jan. 27) at 10 a.m.

Thursday at noon, the entry box closes, and the final field is determined.
