Crete, IL — September starts with a bang as Balmoral Park counts down to Super Night XXIII with a pair of guaranteed pools on Saturday (September 3).

The Pick-5 with a carryover of $3,908 and the Pick-4 will both have a guaranteed pool of $20,000. The complete program pages for both wagers are now available at www.ustrotting.com courtesy of Track Master. Click here for the pages.

The 50 cent Pick-5 starts on race two and ends on race six. The opening leg looks like a Super Night preview between He’s So Hot and Dutch Richman. He’s So Hot storms into town after two winning performances at Springfield and Du Quoin. He paced the last quarter in :25.4 to win the Dudley Hanover. Dutch Richman returns to Balmoral where he has won his last three starts including the $61,500 Incredible Finale stake on July 30. Race two post time is 7:30 p.m. (CDT).

The Pick-4 is on the final four races. The Balmoral Pick-4 is guaranteed nightly and currently offers the largest pools in the United States. Through August 31, $1,486,500 has been wagered on 53 guaranteed pools for a nightly average of $28,047. Here are the nightly pool averages.

Sundays–$35,567
Saturdays–$24,760
Wednesdays–$19,485

The average Pick-4 payout for a dollar is $2,698. The takeout every night has been reduced by 40 percent down to 15 percent. The low 15 percent takeout means that the average Pick-4 winner gets an extra $318. This Saturday the Pick-4 is on races 10 through 13.

Balmoral Park proudly presents Super Night XXIII on September 17. The special event first post has been moved to 6:30 p.m. Balmoral will offer three guaranteed pools on the 14-race Super Night program.
