Chester, PA — The hard-hitting Tyson recorded his second triumph in his last three starts in the $18,000 trotting feature at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 18), making every pole a winning one in 1:54.

Driver Andy McCarthy got Tyson to the lead passing the quarter in :28, and then set middle fractions of :57.2 and 1:25.3 with Crazy About Pat in the pocket and Casa Palmera moving first-over from third before the latter call. In the lane, the sharp winner maintained a 1-3/4 length margin over Crazy About Pat, with Casa Palmera another two lengths back in third.

Tyson, who was sent off the 3-5 favorite, won for the ninth time in 2018, pushing his earnings this year to $116,625 and $213,800 lifetime. Ed Gannon Jr. trains the Donato Hanover gelding and shares ownership with Frank Canzone.

In the $14,500 co-feature, Rock Of Cashel was a 3-1/4 length winner in 1:54.2 for driver Corey Callahan, trainer Mark Harder, and owners Joseph Jannuzzelli and Jeffrey Ruch. The veteran son of Majestic Son, now a career winner of $598,228, re-tucked in the pocket up the backstretch behind pacesetting favorite Make It A Double, then easily passed that one in the lane for his third victory in his last four trips behind the gate.
