Upsets on Tuesday at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — Tuesday night (Oct. 20) was a night of upsets at Rosecroft Raceway.

In the Open Handicap, Cabbie’s Delight got a perfect second-over trip from Jason Thompson to score in 1:51.4 at 25-1 odds.

The race was a perfect set up for closers as Tom’s Titan and SB Mike’s Hot Beach sprinted through a :25.3 first quarter. Thompson followed Jet Blue Miracle and sprung four-wide down the stretch to take the win. Hi Sir (Russell Foster) was second and Go Big Spinder (Jared Moyer) was third.

Cabbie’s Delight is owned by Eric Good and trainer Gary Simpson.

In the Open two handicap, Concert Artist also used a second-over trip behind Breezeintheshade to spring an upset at 12-1 odds. Chris Offutt drove the winner for owner-trainer Brian Tomlinson in 1:51.3.

The Winners Over Trot went to Brilliance Hanover, who fought off an army of challengers while cutting a 1:55 mile. Brilliance Hanover was driven by Timmy Offutt and is owned and trained by Gerald Kelly. All Shoes On Deck (Mike Rossi) was second and Fashion Smile (Jonathan Roberts) was third.

Leading driver Frank Milby won three races on the night to get his fall-meet total to 25. Sean Bier and Timmy Offutt each had two wins.
