Columbus, OH — An internal audit of the USTA database conducted on the morning of Friday, April 5, 2013 has revealed inaccuracies in the “YTD 2012” figures posted as part of its daily online Economic Indicators On U.S. Races chart.

The actual 2012 handle was greater than has been reflected. Because a true year-over-year comparison would be misleading, the “YTD 2012” column has been removed until this issue has been fully investigated and rectified.

The USTA is working with its tote feed provider, United Tote, to ascertain the cause of the inaccuracy and will post revised, corrected figures once they have been determined.

The audit found no similar issues with the 2013 data.
