Anderson, IN — District 2 members of the USTA, Michigan and Indiana, held their annual meeting on Saturday (Nov. 12), hosted by Hoosier Park Racing and Casino.

Rule change proposals were considered, and a district vote recorded, in preparation for the annual Board of Directors meeting next February. District 2 members voted to accept Rule Change Proposals 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 (with amendment), 16, and 17; and Bylaw Amendments 30 and 32.

Attendees were presented a 2016 USTA activities review, and discussed topics specific to their district.

Sam Hedington, from Claypool, Ind., has been appointed a District 2B membership director to replace Jerry Landess, following his resignation. Marilyn Breuer-Bertera was elected District Chairperson.

Hoosier Park honored Kenny Marshall, who passed away suddenly on Nov. 5, with a memorial race and blanket presentation that evening. Marshall had been a USTA Track Director since 1988 and Chairman of District 2 for the past five years.
