USTA District 3 meets

Sacramento, CA — USTA District 3 had their annual membership meeting this past weekend in Sacramento, Calif.

The district members made the following rule change recommendations (view complete list of rule change proposals here):

Proposal #1 (Name restrictions) – Rejected
Proposal #2 (Charted lines at fair tracks) – Approved
Proposal #3 (Denotation of recall) – Approved with the following comment; while it is worthwhile to have this information there may not be the available fields to note the information. At a minimum we should be accumulating this information in the database.
Proposal #4 (Consecutive starts for two-year-olds) – Approved
Proposal #5 (Ownership percentages) – Rejected
Proposal #6 (Broadcast of draw, claims) – Rejected
Proposal #7 (Qualifier date limits) – Rejected
Proposal #8 (Outside/Inside post draw) – Rejected
Proposal #9 (Slanted gate) – Rejected
Proposal #10 (Foot supports) – Approved
Proposal #11 (Improper conduct) – Rejected
Proposal #12 (Foot out of stirrup/Kicking) – Part 1: The portion of the rule dealing with Rule 18.01(l) is withdrawn as the group agrees with approving Rule 10. Part 2: The portion dealing with Rule 18.08 is approved with an amendment to remove a portion of the title “Kicking a Horse.” Remaining language is approved.
Proposal #13 (“Late” Lasix) – Rejected
