USTA launches free rule book apps

by Dan Leary, USTA director of marketing and communications

Columbus, OH — The newly revised U.S. Trotting Association rule book is now available to all members through a free app in both the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. To find the app, search for the keywords “US Trotting.”

The rule book, which was completely revised and newly formatted before being approved by the USTA Board of Directors at the annual Congress in February, is available for iOS and Android devices, including phones and tablets.

“These apps represent the first of many new changes in the way that the USTA will provide information and services to our members,” said USTA Executive Vice President Mike Tanner in making the announcement.

The new USTA rule book provides easier location of specific rules. In addition, each rule is clearly titled and contains a table of contents with a description of each subsection.

At this time, the rule book app only includes the rules and regulations and not the USTA bylaws. The bylaws, which are currently undergoing the same review and revision process as the rules did, will be included in an updated app once approved by the Board of Directors.
