Nichols, NY — The transformer issue at Vernon Downs which caused the cancellation of Friday night’s program has been corrected and simulcast and live racing will resume on Saturday.

The first simulcast race from the Preakness Day card at Pimlico is set for 10:45 a.m., eastern, and the live first race post from Vernon Downs is set for 6:55 p.m., with two divisions of the John Simpson, Sr. Memorial Stakes for 3-year-old trotting fillies and one division for 3-year-old colt trotters.

Due to a transformer blowing and a subsequent power outage at Vernon Downs, simulcast and live racing for Friday, May 14, was canceled.
